Fifth_wall_jamestown

Jamestown tech partner Fifth Wall has been airing a video series, interviewing real estate and technology experts for insights into the future of real estate. The "Fly on the Wall" series includes executives at Related, Hudson Pacific, Starwood, Kimco, JLL, and Eastdil, as well as proptech startup founders and category experts like Joseph Allen, a "Healthy Building" academic. We enjoyed this interview with Richard Florida, co-founder of CityLab, exploring why some cities thrive and others don't.

GROWTH

Bar Vegan, one of Atlanta's most-anticipated new restaurants, opens this month in PCM's Central Food Hall. Pinky Cole, and her team behind The Slutty Vegan, will introduce "bar theater" to the Atlanta scene.

SUSTAINABILITY

The bee population at Levi's Plaza is healthy and has produced over 60 pounds of honey during its first year in residence. Best Bees' beekeepers visit the hives weekly to record data for pollinator research to foster strong food systems and environmental resiliency.

Visitors to Times Square were able to enjoy a 200-foot-tall digital billboard celebrating Black History Month throughout February.

The NPI is a quarterly, composite total return for private commercial real estate properties located in the United States. The NPI includes operating office, retail, industrial, apartment, or hotel properties accounted for on a market value basis and includes the impact of leverage employed on the properties in the index.
